Grit sucks
Just let me quit already
Grit is reportedly the greatest predictor of success.
Though sometimes, I wish I didn’t have it.
Some days it all feels too hard; I want to give up.
Yet I can’t, I have to push through.
To get to the end, the next part, wherever.
Having grit means enduring the hard stuff.
Even when it sucks, keep going.
When desperately lost, looking for the path.
Yet why?
What is the point in it all?
We’re all going to die anyway.
But in that comes the point.
Life is for living.
According to the Buddha, life is suffering.
He called it dukkha, and this is the nature of life.
Life isn’t meant to be easy.
Accepting this brings mental freedom.
This makes the grit-needing-stuff endurable, even enjoyable.
In summary: Life sucks, enjoy gritting it out
