I just read Jimmy Carr’s latest article
Jimmy is my favourite comedian; in large part due to the unique laughs (from and by him!) but also as his perspectives on life have been life-changing for me.
People pleasing cost me some of the most important relationships in my life, stifled my own progress in stand-up comedy, and pushed me into deep depression.
Albeit in a different way, his article says what I wanted to say this week, so I suggest you read it to — especially if you’re a people pleaser.
As a ‘recovering people pleaser’, I can testify: People pleasing isn’t pleasing!
